Truecaller, the Caller-ID app, announced Fraud Insurance for Premium subscribers in India in association with HDFC ERGO Insurance Company. With this insurance, Truecaller will offer coverage of up to Rs 10,000 to its Premium subscribers on Android and iOS in case of financial losses from cyber fraud and scams.

Fraud Insurance on Truecaller offers coverage of up to Rs 10,000 for Android and iOS users and is available only on the yearly Premium subscription. Fraud Insurance has to be activated from the Fraud Insurance opt-in in the app after signing up for Truecaller Premium. The Fraud Insurance will renew automatically with the Truecaller Yearly subscription. Here are some key features.

Fraud Insurance is available only for residents of India aged 18 or older, and interestingly, it is also available for foreigners with an Indian phone number, and also for Indian residents travelling abroad for short durations.
