Jio has refreshed its offerings and has introduced new unlimited plans in the country. The new plans come with increased prices by up to 25%. These now starts at Rs 189 and goes all the way up to Rs 3,599. Here’s everything you need to know about.
Jio’s New Unlimited Plans
The new plans are not available now and will be available from Jul 3, 2024. The telecom operator has increased the prices of 19 pepaid plans. Check out the price comparison below.

Note: Unlimited 5G data will be available only on plans that offer 2GB/day or more.
The price hike will be applicable on new customers. JioBharat and JioPhone users can enjoy the old tariff plans. This comes after Jio recently acquired the 1800 MHz band spectrum in Bihar and West Bengal. It remains to be seen if other telcos will follow the lead of increasing the plan prices.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Akash M Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, commented,
“The introduction of new plans is a step in the direction of furthering industry innovation and driving sustainable growth through investments in 5G and AI technology.”
Jio’s New Mobile Apps
Along with the new plans, the telecom giant has also launched a couple of new apps. One is ‘JioSafe,’ a communication app for calling, messaging, file transfer, and more (priced at Rs 199 per month). The other is ‘JioTranslate,’ an AI-powered multi-lingual communication app for translating voice calls, voice messages, text, and images (priced at Rs 99 per month). However, Jio users will get both these apps for Rs 298/month, which is absolutely free for a year.
