Samsung Galaxy A06 Clears BIS Certification; India Launch Expected Soon

Samsung is gearing up for the next-gen Galaxy A series smartphone, the Galaxy A06. Today, we have spotted the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A06 in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification, which suggests that an India launch will happen soon.

The upcoming Samsung smartphone has received BIS certification with the SM-A065F/DS model number. The D/S in the model number confirms that Samsung will equip the device with support for dual SIM cards. Apart from this, the BIS certification hasn’t revealed anything else.

The upcoming Samsun Galaxy A06 was recently spotted on the Geekbench database and Wi-Fi Alliance certification. The Wi-Fi Alliance certification reveals that Samsung will debut the device with 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi.

The Geekbench 4.2 listing reveals that the upcoming Samsung device has scored 1,644 points and 5,326 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. The device will be powered by an octa-core SoC paired with 6GB of RAM, a base clock speed of 1.8GHz, and a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU.

The device could come with the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC. The Helio G85 SoC sports two Cortex A75 cores at 2.0GHz and six Cortex A55 cores at 1.8GHz. Other details of the device are under wraps at the moment. We expect to get more details soon, so, stay tuned.
