Qualcomm has unveiled a new mobile processor – the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3. The mobile platform is fabricated on the 6nm process and is a 5G-enabled processor. It is expected to power mid-range smartphones. The Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 features Kryo cores and an Adreno GPU. Take a look at the details.

Snapdragon 6s Gen 3: Details

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 relies on a 64-bit architecture and includes Kryo cores with up to 2.3 GHz peak frequency. It is also equipped with an AI engine, which provides access to AI-driven camera features, voice recognition, and more. The AI Engine supports the Qualcomm Sensing Hub, which ensures security.

It features support for 120Hz Full HD+ display panels. Qualcomm has equipped the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 with X51 5G modem, enabling up to 2.5 Gbps download speeds. It sports Qualcomm’s FastConnect 6200 technology and supports Wi-Fi 5 802.11 a/ac networks. The Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 has Bluetooth 5.2 support with Qualcomm’s proprietary TrueWireless technology.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 sports Spectra triple ISP, which supports multi-camera photo and video captures and offers AI-enhanced low-light imaging capabilities. The latest processor can support up to 108MP cameras and 720p video recording at 120 fps.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 powered devices will feature LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The processor enables support for up to Quick Charge 4+. It also supports QZSS, Galileo, Beidou, GLONASS, NavIC, and GPS.

The Moto G85 5G might be the first Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3-powered smartphone. The smartphone was recently spotted on Geekbench with an octa-core processor (two performance cores and six efficiency cores) and an Adreno 619 GPU. We should get more details on this soon, so, stay tuned.
