  • According to rumours, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra’s model number is SM-F958.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 at an upcoming Unpacked event in July, which will take place in Paris. Rumours suggest that Samsung could introduce an Ultra model this time—the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra.

Ahead of Unpacked, Samsung smartphone batteries with EB-BF959ABE and EB-BF959ABY have been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). These could belong to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra. Here’s why we think so.

samsung Battery BIS

The string BF in the model number represents a battery for a fold or flip series device. Samsung Fold battery model numbers start with string BF9, and the Flip battery model numbers start with string BF7. This makes us believe that EB-BF959ABE and EB-BF959ABY are the batteries of an upcoming Fold model.

Also, Samsung Galaxy Fold 6 is believed to have batteries with model numbers EB-BF956ABY and EB-BF957ABY. So, the string BF959 suggests we are looking at a Fold 6 series device, but a model above Fold 6, likely the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold and Flip series smartphones feature dual-cell batteries, so we expect the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra to follow suit. Hence, we think its batteries are EB-BF958 and EB-BF959. There are also rumours that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra’s model number is SM-F958, and hence the battery model number makes sense.

We also expect the other battery with model number EB-BF958 to get certified soon.
