OPPO Reno 12 5G Series Confirmed Details

OPPO will equip the smartphones with a 6.7-inch quad-micro curved infinity-view screen with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection for the Pro variant. The vanilla Reno 12 5G gets a similar screen but with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for enhanced durability and scratch resistance.

Both models will have a 120Hz flexible AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. The Reno 12 5G series will sport armour protection to boost resistance to drops and impacts. The upcoming smartphones are IP65-rated for dust and water resistance and get SGS certifications.

The upcoming Reno 12 Pro 5G will be available in Sunset Gold and Space Brown shades, and the vanilla Reno 12 5G will be available in Sunset Peach, Matte Brown, and Astro Silver hues.

OPPO will debut the smartphones with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy SoC, which features Cortex A78 and Cortex A55 cores. The chipset also integrates MediaTek APU 655 to boost AI performance for AI Clear Face, AI Writer, AI Recording Summary, and AI Eraser 2.0.

The smartphones sport a 5,000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging support, which can charge the device in 46 minutes.

The Reno 12 Pro 5G will sport a 50MP Sony LYT 600 primary camera, an 8MP Sony IMX 355 ultrawide camera, and a 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. The vanilla Reno 12 5G sports a triple camera setup with a 2MP OV02B10 macro camera instead of a telephoto camera.

OPPO will use 50MP Samsung KJN5 and 32MP GC32E2 selfie snappers for the Reno 12 Pro 5G and Reno 12 5G. The smartphones will also be equipped with AI LinkBoost technology to reduce network lag by up to 25 per cent, according to the company.
