Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 Announced

The Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 is a 5G-enabled processor for mid-range and affordable smartphones. It’s an octa-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.3GHz. The processor is paired with the Adreno 619 GPU and an AI engine.

Reports indicate that the upcoming Moto G85 could be the first smartphone to feature the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset. The processor is expected to feature on several smartphones around the price of Rs 15,000. Read more here.

Samsung Confirms AI Features for Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6

Samsung, today, announced that it will bring its top-of-the-line AI features to its upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 smartphones. Both devices will feature live translation using on-device AI. Circle to Search, Note Assist, and Photo Assist will be notable additions.

Samsung says that it will follow a hybrid AI approach for its smartphones. AI features by the company will bring a balance between responsiveness and privacy. Read more here.

Motorola Hints at a New Smartphone in India

Motorola released a teaser image of its upcoming smartphone, showcasing a wooden finish. The device is said to be the Moto Edge 50 Ultra. Images also confirm that the phone will feature a triple rear camera setup.

Moto recently launched the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra in international markets. The device features the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, a 4,500mAh battery, 125 wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. It also has a 50MP primary, 50Mp wide angle, and a 64MP telephoto periscope lens. Read more here.

Disney+Hotstar Introduces Dolby Vision in Live Sports

Disney+Hotstar has just become the first OTT platform in India to stream live sports matches in Dolby Vision. It will stream the ongoing ICC T20 Cricket World Cup in Dolby Vision mode.

The new feature will only be available for users with a premium subscription. As of now, Dolby Vision in live matches is limited to smart TVs. Mobile phones are currently not eligible for the same. Read more here.
