Nothing’s CMF is all set to foray into the smartphone segment with the upcoming CMF Phone 1. CMF hasn’t yet revealed the CMF Phone 1 launch date but we can expect it to debut soon in the country. The upcoming CMF Phone 1 will be sold exclusively via Flipkart, similar to other CMF products.
The CMF Phone 1 is expected to be the company’s most affordable handset till date. This means we might be looking at a sub-Rs 20,000 smartphone from Nothing. The CMF Phone 1 will not have a transparent back panel, as hinted through the teaser, and probably the brand will not equip it with a GLYPH interface to keep the GLYPH exclusive to the Nothing lineup.
CMF Phone 1: Everything We Know So Far
The CMF Phone 1, as shown in the teaser image, will arrive in an orange colour option. This colour variant of the device appears to have a leather textured rear panel. The bottom right side of the device seems to have a rotating knob but its functionality isn’t clear yet.
We have seen a similar knob in the CMF Buds previously, and that didn’t serve any purpose other than fidgeting.
The last teaser shared by the company suggests that the upcoming CMF device will also launch in black colour but with a sandstone finish. The company might be going for different finishes on different colour variants. The CMF Phone 1 was earlier spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standard database. The handset’s model number is A015 and it might have the codename Beedril.
The CMF Phone 1 specifications recently surfaced on the web, courtesy of tipster MlgmXyysd. As per the tipster, the upcoming CMF smartphone will feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is tipped to sport a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor.
The CMF Phone 1 will reportedly offer dual-rear cameras, stacked in a vertical arrangement, including a 50 MP primary camera. The smartphone might offer a 16MP front camera. It is said to be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery and 33W fast charging support. The handset is tipped to sport 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB / 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.
As per the tipster, the CMF Phone 1 will ship with NothingOS 2.6, based on Android 14. It might arrive in black, green, blue, and orange colour options and is said to feature replaceable plastic back covers with the Nothing lock mechanism. The handset is tipped to debut in July.
