Anthropic has launched Claude 3.5 Sonnet, a new AI model for the Claude chatbot. It is a direct competitor for OpenAI’s GPT-4o and Google’s Gemini 1.5 Pro and claims to be faster than both. The new AI model is more efficient in reasoning and scientific evaluations while being twice as fast. Claude 3.5 Sonnet: One step closer towards human intelligence
Claude 3.5 Sonnet introduces major advancements in logic, which makes it superior to its previous models, namely Haiku and Opus. Sonnet was previously available on Claude 3.0 and has now been upgraded to version 3.5. It now supports up to 2,00,000 tokens in a single context, enabling the chatbot to have longer and more contextual conversations.
The new model has the best graduate-level reasoning (GPQA) results and better coding efficiency. It also improves understanding of nuance, humour, and emotions and can now respond in a more natural human-like tone. The model can also write high-quality content in reports, essays, etc.
Claude 3.5 Sonnet can independently write, execute, and debug codes. Compared to previous models, it can solve twice as many coding-related problems. This model can update legacy applications and migrate codebases at a core level.
In simple words, Claude 3.5 Sonnet has emerged as a powerful model that can analyze information faster. Claude 3.5 Sonnet is now available for free to all users. It can be accessed from the official Claude.ai website and the Claude iOS app. Note that Claude does not have an official Android app yet. Paid subscribers will have access to higher limits for the new AI model.
