Microsoft has officially revealed the first wave of games coming to Xbox Game Pass in June 2024. This month’s lineup includes six video games and is headlined by the horror title The Callisto Protocol. Here’s a look at the details.
Xbox Game Pass June 2024 Games (Wave 1)
The Callisto Protocol (Cloud, Console, and PC)
The Callisto Protocol is a third-person survival horror video game. It is referred to as the spiritual successor to Dead Space, a horror game franchise that needs no introduction. The game’s story takes place in a maximum security prison on Jupiter’s Dead Moon. The goal is to escape the prison as you battle evolving inhuman creatures, scavenge new weapons, and uncover the planet’s mystery.
The game will become available on console, PC, and cloud gaming, starting June 13.
Octopath Traveler (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Octopath Traveler, a Japanese Role Playing Game aka JRPG, is returning to Xbox Game Pass. The game tells the story of eight characters and is based in a fictional world called Orsterra. Each character has unique abilities and you have to make decisions that will shape your journey in the game. It is already available for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
Octopath Traveler 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
As the name suggests, Octopath Traveler 2 is a successor to the above-mentioned JRPG. This game is coming to Xbox Game Pass for the first time. It features eight new travellers on a new land called Solisitia. The rest of the adventure and mystery remain the same. It is also available for download for subscribers now.
Other titles coming to Xbox Game Pass are Depersonalization (PC), and Isonzo (Cloud, Console, and PC) on June 12 and June 13, respectively.
Players will also get Still Wakes the Deep (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series S/X) on June 18 as a day-one release. It is an upcoming survival horror game explained as, “You are trapped on an oil rig in the North Sea, running from an unknowable horror that has come aboard. With no escape and no way to fight back, all you can do is survive.”
