Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, the sequel to 2017’s Hellblade: Senu’a Sacrifice is now available on Xbox Series X/S and PC. Hellblade 2 is one of the biggest game releases for Xbox this year and is also available on Xbox Game Pass on Day 1.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is an action-adventure game where you control Senua, a warrior fighting her way through Iceland. Much like the first game, you’ll solve puzzles, use runes, and experience Senua’s world through her eyes and thoughts. This time, there’s a new combat system to learn, with more enemies to fight who each have their battle plans. The world around you is alive too, with weather and physics affecting how you explore and fight, from icy mountains to stormy coasts.
The game gets scary with Senua’s inner voices acting like creepy friends and tricky obstacles on her journey. Moreover, Hellblade 2 takes place in a harsh and unforgiving 10th-century Iceland. The developers drew deep inspiration from the rich tapestry of Norse mythology and culture to create the setting and atmosphere.
For those who don’t know, Ninja Theory, which became a subsidiary of Xbox Game Studios in 2018 developed Hellblade 1 with a team of twenty people. However, Hellblade 2 is built with a bigger budget and team, offering a smoother experience than the previous instalment, thanks to Unreal Engine 5.
Despite recent controversy surrounding Microsoft, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 has garnered critical acclaim. Reviewers have lauded the title’s stunning visuals, fast-paced combats, perspective-based puzzles, and photo mode.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 PC Requirements
To play the game, a 64-bit processor and operating system are necessary. The minimum requirements include an Intel i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and a graphics card such as the Nvidia GTX 1070, AMD RX 5700, or Intel Arc A580, with 70 GB of available storage on an SSD.
For an optimal experience, the recommended specifications include an Intel i7-10700K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X processor, 16 GB of RAM, and a graphics card like the Nvidia RTX 3080, AMD RX 6800 XT, or Intel Arc A770, also with 70 GB of SSD storage.
Despite recent studio closures by Microsoft, Ninja Theory seems secure. A report from Windows Central confirms that the studio has two projects in development besides Hellblade 2. One is the previously announced Project Mara, focusing on grounded mental terror. The other, yet-to-be-revealed title, has already been greenlit by Microsoft.
