In a move that expands accessibility for gamers, Microsoft and Amazon are teaming up to bring Xbox Cloud Gaming to select Fire TV devices. Xbox Games Now Playable on Amazon Fire TVs with No Console Needed
Microsoft will launch an Xbox app for the 2023 Fire TV Stick 4K Max and Fire TV Stick 4K in July. This app uses cloud streaming technology, allowing players to access the extensive library of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate games directly on their TVs, without a console or PC.

According to Xbox, players will need a compatible Fire TV Stick, a Bluetooth-enabled wireless controller, and a Game Pass Ultimate membership to stream games. However, Fortnite can be played at no extra cost without a membership.
The app supports various controllers, including the Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller, PlayStation DualSense, and DualShock 4.
How to Set It Up
- Download and launch the Xbox app on Fire TV (available in July).
- Sign in with a Microsoft account.
- Connect a Bluetooth-enabled wireless controller and start playing.
Amazon highlights the increased availability and flexibility of cloud gaming as an ideal choice for those curious about the trend. Notably, the Firestick can run demanding games like the recently launched ‘Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2’.
With a Game Pass Ultimate membership (priced at Rs 549 per month), players gain access to a vast library of games, including Starfield, Forza Horizon 5, and Bethesda’s Fallout 4 and Fallout 76, in addition to the Fallout show on Prime Video.
