  • The upcoming Assassin’s Creed game will officially be called Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
  • The game’s reveal trailer will be showcased on May 15.

Following a period of development under the codename “Red,” Ubisoft has unveiled the official title for its upcoming Assassin’s Creed title set in feudal Japan: Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

The company also announced that a cinematic trailer for the game’s full reveal is slated for Wednesday, May 15 9 AM PT/ 9:30 PM IST.

Ubisoft teased this game as Codenamed ‘Red’ in September 2022 during its brand showcase alongside two other AC titles: Hexe, mysterious with supernatural vibes and Jade, a mobile game set in a futuristic China (215 BC)

Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes players on a shinobi adventure in Feudal Japan, returning to the action RPG style. It’s poised to be the first launch title within the Assassin’s Creed Infinity project, a live-service system for the Assassin’s Creed series.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Expected Release Date and Platforms

Apart from the game’s full release, we can also expect a release date for AC Shadows. Wario64, a well-known video game leaker and news curator, found the release date for the game from the deleted video description from the game’s upcoming reveal trailer (spotted by Andreaalex2001). The game is reportedly set to release on November 15, 2024.

While this aligns with Ubisoft’s typical release window for major titles, it is important to treat this information as speculation until official confirmation arrives tomorrow.assassins creed shadows

According to notable insider Shinobi602, AC Shadows won’t be released on last-gen consoles like Xbox One and PS4, which means it is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

AC Mirage was released on all the platforms, excluding Switch, last year. This also aligns with the official Ubisoft announcement, which reads, “Starting with Assassin’s Creed Codename RED, games will be built specifically for current-gen consoles; the extra time in between allows the development teams to improve their Anvil engine to deliver a more polished experience.”

We can expect more details about the game in tomorrow’s trailer showcase or even more at the Ubisoft Forward event, which is scheduled for June 10.
