Amazfit has launched a new premium smartwatch. The company has launched the T-Rex Ultra as its new premium smartwatch offering. The T-Rex Ultra is Amazfit’s rugged smartwatch built to last in testing outdoor and adventurous conditions. The watch may have taken its naming inspiration from Apple’s top-end smartwatch offering but the design and other features are quite different. The Amazfit T-Rex Ultra has a circular dial. It has a chunky body that helps protect the watch from exterior damage to a certain extent.

Amazfit T-Rex Ultra Price and Specifications

The Amazfit T-Rex Ultra is a premium smartwatch offering. The rugged smartwatch is available in a single screen size/ dial option in the US and UK. It has been launched for $399 (roughly Rs 33,000) in the US and £399 (roughly Rs 40,300) in the UK. The smartwatch is available in two colour options — Abyss Black and Sahara.

At the moment, there is no word on whether the T-Rex Ultra will make its way to India. Amazfit has launched its premium smartwatches in the country but if the T-Rex Ultra’s India pricing is anywhere close to its converted US or UK pricing, the device will be the company’s most expensive smartwatch in India.

The watch has a circular dial with stainless steel bezels. The mid-frame is made of polymer. There are four physical buttons around the sides of the T-Rex Ultra for various tasks. Coming to the screen, the T-Rex Ultra has a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a 454 x 454-pixel resolution and a 326 PPI pixel density. The screen is claimed to have a peak brightness of 1,000 nits.

The T-Rex Ultra has a 10ATM water resistance, which means that it can withstand pressures equivalent to a depth of 100 meters underwater. There is a 500 mAh battery, which is claimed to last for up to 20 days on a single charge. There is a special low-temperature mode that helps preserve the battery life and can last for up to 10 hours when GPS is enabled.

The smartwatch has a BioTracker PPG biometric sensor for SpO2 reading and monitoring heart rate levels. It also supports dual-band and 6 satellite positioning systems. The T-Rex Ultra has over 120 watch faces and support for Always-On Display (AoD).

The watch, as expected, has support for several fitness modes. There are also quite many health tracking features. It comes with the usual Zepp OS 2.0 update and support for select third-party apps. The watch supports Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 2.4GHz.

The watch measures 47.3 x 47.3 x 13.45mm and weighs about 89 grams. It can be connected to Android phones running Android 7.0 or later and iPhones running iOS 12.0 and above.
