Motorola is developing a tracking device called the Moto Tag. Today, the MySmartPrice team spotted it on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification website. Here’s everything you need to know.

Moto Tag on FCC Certification

The device appeared to have the XT2445-1 model number. It reveals that the device will have 210mAh of battery, which looks pretty small but is a respectable number for a smaller device such as a tracking tag. Apart from that, it also confirms Bluetooth support. It also reveals that the device will have Ultra-wideband (UWB) with 2.5 dBi for 6489 6MHz and 3.5 diBi for 7987.2MHz.

Unfortunately, Motorola’s upcoming device’s listing on the FCC certification doesn’t reveal any specifications. However, it indicates the official launch is just around the corner.

Moto Tag on Other Certification Websites

It’s important to note that this is not the first appearance of the Moto Tag. We spotted the device with the same model number on the UAE’s Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) certification website.

It also didn’t reveal any specifications for the device but confirmed the moniker of Motorola’s upcoming tracking tag.

It’s important to note that this is not the first time Motorola has launched its smart tag. Back in 2017, the company unveiled its first iteration of Moto Tag. However, it has not updated the device with the latest version since then. If Motorola launches its tracking device, it will face tough competition with giants like Apple’s AirTag and Samsung’s SmartTag.
