Apple iPad Air 2024 Features and Specifications
Apple has retained the same flat-edged design for the iPad Air 2024, which the company adopted from its bigger sibling, the iPad Pro, back in 2020.
However, as mentioned above, the new iPad Air comes in a new 13-inch form factor in addition to the 11-inch variant. This is the first time Apple has offered two display options for the iPad Air.
It has also received a big performance boost thanks to the integration of the M2 chip, which means the latest iPad Air series is now 50% faster than the previous iPad Air 5th Gen. The latest iPad Air tablets also come with a single rear camera and Touch ID support.
Besides that, Apple has made a long-overdue design change regarding the front camera. The company has repositioned the FaceTime camera from the top bezel to the landscape side. It also includes a Centre-stage feature that follows the user as they move and equips the stereo speakers. This means that the front camera is properly aligned at the top when the iPad Air is held in landscape mode.
It runs on iPadOS 17, allowing users to customise their lock screen, offering several interactive widgets, and much more.
Regarding accessories, the latest iPad Airs support the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil Hover. They will also support the all-new Apple Pencil Pro.
