Asus is taking its own sweet time in bringing the ZenFone 2 to the Indian subcontinent. Originally announced at CES 2015, Asus India announced today that the ZenFone 2 will be launched in India on April 23rd. So, why’s everyone thrilled about the ZenFone 2? The ZenFone 2 is the world’s first Smartphone that packs 4GB of RAM. Plus, it won’t cost an arm and a leg.
According to early reports, the entry Zenfone 2 model with 2GB RAM will cost about Rs 12,000 ($200). Asus India hasn’t revealed the official pricing of the Zenfone 2 models, but it did reveal that three variants will be launched in India. Of them, one comes with a 5-inch display, whereas the other two have 5.5-inch displays.
Asus ZenFone 2 specs include a quad-core Intel Atom processor, 2GB/4GB RAM, 5/5.5″ 1080p display, 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras, Android 5.0 Lollipop, and a non-removable 3000mAh battery. Here’s a quick feature review of the ZenFone 2 (4GB model):
